Frequently Asked Questions
Does the QR contain the data directly?
Yes.
Do generated QR codes expire?
The code itself does not; a destination URL can change.
Can I print it?
Yes, test the printed size before distributing it.
Making a QR code that scans reliably
Enter the link or text, generate the code and download it as an image. Shorter content creates a simpler code with larger squares, which scans faster and from further away. If you need to encode a long link, use a short address on your own domain that redirects to it.
Print with strong contrast, dark on light, and leave a blank margin around the code. Do not stretch it or place it over a busy photo. Always test the printed result with two or three different phones before you order a large print run.
Remember the code only stores the text. If the link it points to changes or disappears, the code stops working, so use permanent addresses for anything printed.
Limits: generated codes are static, so there is no scan tracking. The code is created in your browser and the content is not sent to us.
