Frequently Asked Questions
Is my date of birth stored?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
Can I calculate age on a past or future date?
Yes. Use the optional second date field.
How are months counted?
Calendar months are used, so the result matches how people usually say their age.
Getting an age you can trust
Enter a date of birth and the tool counts complete years, then the leftover months and days. That is the way people normally state their age, so the answer matches a birth certificate or a form that asks for "age in years, months and days".
The optional second date is useful for eligibility checks: you can find out how old someone was on a past date, or how old they will be on the day a deadline falls. People born on 29 February have their birthday counted on 1 March in non-leap years.
Limits: the tool uses your device's calendar and local date. It does not know about time zones for births close to midnight.
